【Reflection (反射)】

三俣で製作した和紙に本金箔と顔料を重ねて製作した衝立です。これは約450年前の日本で屏風や襖絵の背景として使用されていた表現技法を再現しています。この金箔の割れ模様は、大気、天、地を表現しており、機械製作ではなく手作業で行われるため、一つとして同じ形がない唯一無二の作品です。作品のテーマは「反射」であり、見る方の感性により異なるテーマとして受け取っていただける作品です。

【Reflection】
It is meant to reflect the technology and people of the self.

This art panel is made of Japanese paper produced in Minamata and overlaid with gold foil and pigment. This is a reproduction of a technique of expression used in Japan about 450 years ago as a background for folding screens and fusuma-e (sliding door paintings). The cracked patterns in the gold foil express the atmosphere, heaven, and earth, and because the work is done by hand rather than by machine, it is a unique work that is never the same. The theme of the work is “reflection,” a theme that can be received differently depending on the viewer's sensibilities.
